STP® 50/50 Extended Protection Antifreeze/Coolant for European Vehicles meets or exceeds ASTM D3306 and JIS K2234 performance requirements. It is recommended for use in BMW®, Mercedes-Benz®, Volvo®, VW®/Audi® and other European-made motor and light vehicles requiring a TAO engine coolant that is free of phosphates, borates, nitrites, and amines.
This ethylene glycol antifreeze/coolant is based on a proprietary series of organic acid-based corrosion inhibitors optimized by RECO-COOL Technology (TAO) to provide extended protection against rust, corrosion, and cavitation pitting to all cooling system metals, including aluminum. The superior performance of this long-life product allows it to continue operating well beyond the lifespan of conventional products. * When added as an initial fill and properly maintained according to the engine manufacturer's maintenance recommendations, STP® 50/50 Extended Protection Premixed Antifreeze/Coolant for European Vehicles will provide up to 250,000 km or 5 years of protection in automotive applications. For best results, do not mix with conventional high-pH, phosphate-, borate-, or silicate-based antifreeze/coolant.
